The thing about STD is that, it rarely affects just one person. It's often a cascading tragedy, a binary multiplication at the very least. An easy epidemic, that most society under report, for fear of being stigmatized.
The obvious root of STD is not really poor socio-economic status, as previously reported. The perception of it being a prostitute's disease is simply a jurassic way of thinking. And with the staggering increase of venereal diseases among the higher income group, STD has evolved to transcend socio-economic margin.
STD is a byproduct of a deteriorating moral standard in a society that looks at sex as a casual commodity. It is a symptom of a culture's decaying sense of family and spirituality.
Educational attainment has also failed to marginalize the disease. This is because, modern education and technology itself, create a sense of vagueness in our already mutated outlook on sex and relationsship.
