Since 2010, the Center for Disease Control has released memo updates about the removal of oral cephalosporins in the treatment protocol of Gonorrhea, due to the prevalence of the antibiotic resistant N. Gonorrhea among diagnosed clinical cases of this disease.
The improper use of these prescription drugs had been the ONLY known cause of the bacterial mutation. Unfortunately, many doctors would still insist on it's use obviously due to lack of current and updated training.
